Extreme activities in Cebu – part 2

Round 3 – Ultima Sharp Shooters Club (USSC)

Location: Crown Regency Hotel & Towers

Give your best shot in the country’s first indoor firing range within Cebu city. The place is perfect for both gun sport enthusiasts and beginners. I’ve never held a gun in my entire life so I was both excited and nervous to try this sport. Find out how our shooting experience went on the photos below!

Don’t forget to sign the waiver and listen to the safety precautions from the friendly marshals

Here I am trying my best to land even one bullet on the target! The range marshal kept saying I was jittery as soon as I held the loaded gun. I get shocked right after I fire the gun – feeling like I was in a war in some action movie!

Though we’re both newbies, clearly Pau got the hang of this sport and was firing one bullet after the other – almost all of his bullets landed on the target!

I had my own share of #EPICFAIL moments too. Like the time when I forgot I still have one bullet loaded in the gun and I accidentally pointed the gun out of the firing range – the marshal shouted that I’m still carrying a loaded gun so I should not point to anywhere else except on the target.

Pau landed 13/15 bullets on his target while 9 out of my 15 bullets landed all over the place!

Pau obviously won this round BUT overall, I’m still leading 2-1. =)

Round 4 – Wakeboarding

Location: Cebu Wake Park at Papa Kit’s Marina and Fishing Lagoon

Wakeboarding is one of our favorite things to do together (we’ve been to 4 wakeboarding spots in the Philippines and we plan to visit all the wake parks soon) – though we are not pros, we’ve been keen on practicing this sport. The wake park is perfect for beginners since it features a two-tower system with a cable pulling you from one tower to the other. The system allows the cable operator to change the speed – slower for beginners and faster for advance riders. Among all the wake parks we’ve been to, this is the only one where the instructors will pick you up along the track if ever you fall down.

Most wake parks are man-made, Cebu Wake Park has it on the sea side so the water is salty. The downside is that it feels heavier to ride in salt water. =(

The wake gears in this park are all well-maintained – loving the vest and the slip-on bindings which are advisable for beginners since these are adjustable

Since it was early morning on a weekday, we had the wake park all to ourselves – no more queuing! I had my own share of nice turns today but Pau had the most number of perfect turns – so he definitely won this round.

This ends our mini-teambuilding, tied at 2 wins each! I guess the tiebreaker activity (archery at Makati Cinema Square? Bowling at SM Megamall? Ice skating at Mall of Asia?) has to wait until we get home to Manila. Now off to the spa to ease our sore muscles!  Till our next adventure, Love! <3
