Food Find: Boracay Toilet Restaurant

A toilet-themed resto might sound weird (and yucky!) but you’ll be surprised that this kind of concept restaurant has gained popularity in different countries namely Russia, US and the famous Modern Toilet in Taiwan.

Filipinos are in luck because our very own Boracay is home to the first toilet-themed restaurant in the Philippines! 🙂

The interiors are surprisingly beautiful – be ready to seat on real toilet bowls while dining in this restaurant!

Boracay Toilet Restaurant serves Filipino dishes with a modern twist. The dishes are served in mini toilet bowls while the drinks are served in urinal-shaped glasses. Here are some of their bestsellers (check out the witty names!):

Crispy CRAP – breaded chicken breast fried to a crisp and served with the classic honey mustard sauce.

Inihaw na liemPOOP – succulent pork belly marinated with a special sauce and grilled to perfection.

Binag-UU-ngan – shredded pork mixed shrimp paste served with thinly sliced mangoes and garlic chips.

HotPOT POT – assorted meatballs, crab sticks, beef short plate, flat egg noodles, shiitake mushroom and napa cabbage cooked together in a flavorful broth.

Other notable dishes worth trying are Kare-KaDIRE, Sea-POOP Platter, PEEnakbet and Pan-SHIT. For dessert, order UTOT-MO-ron which is basically the well-loved Filipino snack – turon with langka. 🙂

After a hearty meal, you might want to take advantage of the resto’s superb interiors by taking some snapshots in their photobooth spots.
